Job Title: Assistant Controller
Location: 100% onsite Fontana, CA

REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree
Industry: Manufacturing, merchandising/inventory or distribution
Need to work with ERP system other than quickbooks. They currently use SAP Business One (preferred but don't need to have)
Revenue size: above $50 million
Min 5 years experience (open to Accounting Managers that are looking to take the next step as Assistant Controller)

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition to ensure accuracy
Hire, train and maintain skilled accounting staff
Monitor short term cash needs by preparing weekly cash requirements and short-term cash forecasting
Assess current accounting operations and internal control systems and make recommendations for improvement and implement new processes
Ensure timely preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances including KPI reporting
Prepare financial analyses of operations including variance explanation and make recommendation to ensure the achievement of business goals/target
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Plans for future purchases, utilization management, and cost allocation
Oversee all activities of external auditors
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:

Proven working experience as a Controller in a manufacturing environment with product conversion experience also preferred
5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Ability to work as a member of a team and build relationships
Expertise in ERP systems in a manufacturing environment, SAP preferred
Bachelor's degree in financial or business-related field preferred; Master's degree preferred
Physical environment/working conditions: The position is in a manufacturing office setting and could involve sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time throughout the day. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. There may be a requirement for 5% travel
